Since 1995, Suniye has been working to support children with hearing impairment and help them build independent, confident, and successful lives.
For over 30 years, we have been committed to one simple belief:
Every child deserves the opportunity to communicate, learn, and participate fully in society.
Through speech and language training, educational support, family counselling, and community engagement, we have positively impacted the lives of more than 1,000 children with hearing impairment.
Today, Suniye is one of the few organizations in India dedicated to teaching spoken language and communication skills to children with hearing loss, helping them access equal opportunities in education, employment, and life.

Our Support School for Children with Hearing Impairment

At Suniye, we run a dedicated support school where children receive specialized speech and language training from experienced speech therapists and educators.
Every year, we support more than 60 children, with nearly 90% coming from low-income families.
Our goal is not just education—we help children develop the skills needed to study in mainstream schools, communicate confidently, and become independent members of society.

Our Story

For more than three decades, Suniye has been a place of hope, learning, and transformation. Over 1,000 children have found support, guidance, and opportunities through our programs. Many of our former students have gone on to pursue higher education and successful careers.

Leadership & Legacy

The foundation of Suniye was built on compassion, commitment, and a belief in every child’s potential. Our co-founder, S. Ramakrishnan, has been working with children with hearing impairment since 1995 and continues to guide the organization’s vision and growth. His dedication has helped transform hundreds of young lives and establish Suniye as a trusted support system for families across the community.
